Project Manager (PDA Product Line) - Wireless Terminals Sales/Marketing

The Project Manager is responsible for performing intermediate level product development, coordination and implementation duties for the launch and modification of Wireless Terminal products for specific carriers or customer. Responsibilities include the coordination of product accessories development and modifications for major carrier and retail customers to assure successful product definition and product delivery. Responsibilities also include the establishment of effective working relationships with STA engineering groups and with carrier product management personnel.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree, preferably EE or Electronic Engineering Technology

- Should have a minimum of 5-8 years experience in a project/product development or wireless telecommunications position requiring direct program development, logistics and distribution management, and long-term customer contact and relationship building.


- Experience with mobile operating system platforms required.

- Strong understanding of PDA devices (pocket, Stinger, SmartPhone, Palm)

- Experience in a marketing or sales product management or development department or functional company group developing, compiling, and presenting information on products and services.

- Experience researching and resolving customer marketing and sales complaints and issues.

- Experience developing marketing and sales presentations using a variety of presentation methods, including PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and graphic arts software.

- Wireless and/or PDA experience required.

Job Duties:

- Initiate, develop, coordinate and implement strategic product development plans and programs for: assigned carriers, specific customers and related accounts.

- Assemble and maintain all customer requirements associated with the product.

- Provide Technical analysis and support to the customers.

- Analyzes product features, works on harmonization of product features and makes competitive assessment on current/future market situation for Tier classification

- Analyzes product features, works on new features as per technology

- Co-ordinates life cycle management of existing products with the help of Product or Project Managers.

- Maintain close and frequent working relationship with STA manufacturing, engineering and distribution management to optimize delivery of products within projected timelines and MOF negotiated agreements with internal departments and external carrier and related industry specific customers.

- Participate in development of key/national specific customer strategies, including leadership of, or participation on account management teams.

- Represent STA in partnerships with outside advertising or media related firms in the creation of STA, customer and product related images to optimize sales and maximize customer product orders.

- Serve as primary STA marketing interface to specific customer/carrier's customer product marketing, marketing communications, and public relations teams.

- Prepare account management, progress, expenditure, and other related reports as directed by management.
